Service Categories Updates in Version 6.0

In January of 2012, CNCS revised the Service Categories and newly labeled Focus Areas. In the Reporter what used to be called Issue Areas becomes the Focus Areas to correspond to the formerly called Service Category Groupings.

Version 6.0 enables you to upgrade to the new service categories. When you install 6.0, you will receive a notice that your service categories need some work.

After you run the utility from the File menu in the Reporter, the new service categories are installed and the obsolete ones are marked. You simply change each job which has a marked service category to one of the newly approved categories. Your letter from the Corporation provides descriptions for the new categories. After all the obsolete service categories are no longer in use, you can delete them from the Reference Codes.
