Customization

Our program, the Volunteer Reporter, offers an array of powerful features that will help you create custom reports, spreadsheets, templates, mail merges, volunteer profiles and much more.

With the click of a button, you can prepare reports summarizing your entire operation for any period of time. Either preview them on the screen or send them to any printer on your network.

Or you can customize reports. There are several ways you can customize the dozens of reports in the Volunteer Reporter. By using Filters you can narrow any report, as a query. Some reports include items you can select or deselect. An extreme version of that feature is the Volunteer [or Station or Job] Description Report, for which you choose all the fields to include.

All reports are exportable to various formats. The Print/Export button enables you to print specific pages or the entire report, export the report as another file type, and email the report. The export file types are HTML, Adobe PDF, Bitmap, JPEG, Multi-TIFF, TIFF, Rich Text Format (RTF), Text (comma delimited file), or Excel.

The Reporter's spreadsheets [either produced from the Spreadsheet menu or exported from Reports] are customizable in Excel to accommodate the many different ways our customers want to format their data. The spreadsheets produce all data available in the database. In Excel: - You can remove any columns you don't want. - You can manipulate the data using formulas. - You can insert headers and footers. - You can color and format rows, columns and text.

The spreadsheets from the Spreadsheets menu offer the most flexibility. In Excel:
- You can remove any columns you don't want.
- You can manipulate the data using formulas.
- You can insert headers and footers.
- You can color and format rows, columns and text.

The Reporter interfaces with Microsoft word for letters and timesheets, providing customizable templates. Or you can start from scratch with a Word merge.

I imagine we actually have an existing report that will do what you want. Could you give us an example of what you'd like to produce? We might be able to steer you to a good quick solution.
