Duplicating Schedules Every Other Week

For someone who works EVERY OTHER WEEK, push the second Sunday an additional week forward when duping:

Dupe Every Other Week: Select the Sunday beginning the schedule and two Sundays later, so that you are selecting a scheduled week and an unscheduled week. Dupe it for every other week the desired number of times, e.g.; 12 times = 24 weeks, approximately 6 months.

Here's an example where we first Add a schedule for a volunteer at a job for which she has no placement. Add the schedule by selecting the volunteer, job, day, and schedule time. You can add the New Placement right there after clicking OK if the volunteer is not already placed at that job.

Add a New Placement within the Scheduling section

This illustrated volunteer will work Mondays and Tuesdays every other week for six months. Duplicate the single day [Monday] to Tuesday.

Duplicate the single day to Tuesday

Now duplicate both days for every other week [EOW]: Select the Sunday beginning the week of the schedule and two Sundays later, so that you are selecting a scheduled week and an unscheduled week. In this example, the first Sunday is June 22nd and the second Sunday is July 5th. Dupe it for every other week the desired number of times, e.g.; 12 times = 24 weeks.

Duplicating Schedules Every Third Week, etc.

The same principle applies for duplicating every third week [through every nineth week]. Set the first Sunday and then set the third Sunday so that two non-scheduled weeks are selected and duplicated.

Duplicating Schedules Every Other Weekend

To schedule for every other weekend, you need to duplicate each day, Saturday and Sunday, separately for every other week in two duplicating operations since the schedule spans into another week.

First schedule the Saturday. Dupe that Saturday schedule by selecting the prior Sunday to two Sundays from the scheduled Saturday. You are selecting a scheduled week and an unscheduled week to do EOW. Set to repeat it every 'other week' for 'x' number of times.

Then schedule the Sunday [or dupe the Saturday schedule to Sunday]. Dupe that scheduled Sunday date to two Sundays from the scheduled Sunday. Again, you are selecting a scheduled week and an unscheduled week to do EOW. Set to repeat it every 'other week' for 'x' number of times.

Since you can duplicate up to 52 times, you can schedule a volunteer to work for a year if weekly, or for two years if the volunteer works every other week.
